Work History

Jerry has been a practicing attorney and civic leader for more than thirty years. A former municipal official and seasoned trial lawyer, he brings valuable perspective and skilled advocacy to his work as solicitor’s and litigation counsel to municipalities in the Philadelphia suburbs. He also represents individual clients in civil litigation matters.

First-hand experience as a township official helps Jerry to provide practical guidance to Pennsylvania municipalities. A longtime resident of Bucks County, he served as Newtown Township supervisor for six years and as treasurer for four years. In these roles, Jerry had responsibility for public policy, budgeting, and land development as well as labor negotiations. He also served as the Chair of the Newtown Bucks County Municipal Authority. He was appointed liaison to the township’s planning commission, finance committee, and the joint historic review commission serving Newtown Township and Borough. In addition, he was treasurer of the Newtown Area Joint Zoning Council, which allows for unified land use planning and zoning among Newtown, Wrightstown and Upper Makefield Townships. During his term as supervisor, Jerry also led the successful negotiation of the township’s franchise agreement with Verizon, which extended services deeper into the township, expanded public access channels and increased the township’s share of the revenue stream. This long-term agreement helped set the standard for Verizon franchise agreements with municipalities in Bucks County and beyond.
