Finn L. Skovdal is an attorney with Kilkenny Law, bringing more than a decade of extensive trial experience to the firm. A former Allegheny County Assistant District Attorney, Finn prosecuted cases ranging from DUIs to serious violent felonies, including firearms offenses and homicides. In that role, he worked closely and regularly with a wide range of government agencies, law enforcement departments, municipal entities, and individuals throughout the community, developing a practical and well-rounded approach to public-facing litigation.

Before joining Kilkenny Law, Finn ran a successful solo practice, handling matters in criminal defense, employment law, and consumer protection. His solo practice placed him in courtrooms across Pennsylvania and required him to represent clients in cases involving townships, police departments, and school boards, giving him substantial experience navigating disputes involving governmental and quasi-governmental bodies.

Finn earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Pittsburgh and his Juris Doctor from Duquesne University School of Law. During law school, Finn earned the privilege of writing for the Duquesne Law Review. He was also an active member of the Black Law Student Association’s (BLSA) Trial Advocacy Team, helping lead Duquesne Law to victory as regional champions in the Thurgood Marshall Moot Court Competition, one of the nation’s oldest and most respected mock trial competitions.

A native of lower Bucks County, Finn began his legal career in Pittsburgh before returning to Southeastern Pennsylvania, where he now lives in Upper Dublin and serves clients throughout the region. He is known for his practical approach, strong courtroom advocacy, and commitment to protecting his clients’ rights.
