Kailie Melchior is an experienced municipal law attorney with a well-established reputation for providing comprehensive legal counsel to municipalities throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania. Serving as solicitor for several local townships and boroughs, Kailie offers strategic guidance on a broad range of matters, including Act 511 tax issues, zoning and land use, and compliance issues.

A key area of her expertise is managing Right-to-Know requests and appeals. Kailie has successfully advised municipalities on navigating Pennsylvania's Right-to-Know Law (RTKL), ensuring compliance while protecting sensitive government information. She has represented municipalities in RTKL appeals before the Office of Open Records (OOR) and the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania, achieving favorable outcomes in important cases. Kailie's knowledge of the nuances of RTKL makes her a trusted advisor for municipalities seeking to balance transparency with confidentiality.

In addition to her work with Right-to-Know requests, Kailie has a proven record of success in state and federal arbitrations and has litigated matters in both trial courts and the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania. Her legal expertise spans a wide variety of complex issues, where she is a zealous advocate for her clients.

Kailie’s excellence in municipal law has earned her recognition as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2023-2025, a prestigious honor given to only 2.5% of attorneys in the state. This distinction reflects her dedication, legal acumen, and commitment to achieving outstanding outcomes for her clients.

Kailie earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Theatre Arts from Furman University and her Juris Doctor from Penn State Law, where she was an active member of the Environmental Moot Court team and served as President of the Women’s Law Caucus. Her leadership both inside and outside the courtroom underscores her dedication to advancing her clients' interests and promoting the rule of law.
