Mark Plachta focuses his practice on a variety of municipal, zoning, and land use matters throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania. Prior to joining Kilkenny Law, Mark served as an Assistant District Attorney in Philadelphia, where he gained extensive experience in criminal litigation and criminal justice reform. Mark is experienced in various aspects of litigation, including discovery, witness preparation, and participating in hearings both at trial and in appellate matters.
Mark earned his bachelor's degree in political science from Temple University and his juris doctor degree from the Thomas Kline School of Law at Drexel University. During his time in law school, Mark competed for Drexel in several trial team competitions, and participated in multiple student organizations, notably founding and serving as president of Young Democrats of Drexel Law.
Mark's involvement in the community extends beyond school, serving on the Executive Board of the Philadelphia Young Democrats, and running several events and GOTV initiatives. Mark has also dedicated his professional life to service, working for both the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and for the City Council of Philadelphia.
